Latest Technologies

Both the EPSS™ client/server and the thin-client, web-based
EPSS™ Online Search Engine applications are built upon the latest technologies from
Microsoft and well know third-party vendors: Microsoft® .NET
and Universal Data Access platforms, Microsoft® Windows
Server 2003, Microsoft® SQL Server 2005, Microsoft®
Information Internet Server (IIS) 6.0, Microsoft® Access
2003, Business Objects® Crystal Reports XI, and Adobe® Acrobat®,
just to name a few.
Full Single and Batch Search Capabilities

Both EPSS™ versions provide full
single and batch search capabilities. While the single
search is ideal for quick processing such as pre-employment
screenings, batch search is desirable when there is an
extensive list of individuals or vendors that needs to be
screened periodically.
Round the Clock (24x7) Availability
Available 24x7, 365 days a year.
Transactions Protected by 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
Client confidential information (such as password and
employee information) is transmitted and protected by
industry standard, high-encryption 128-bit Secure Sockets
Layer (SSL).
PGP-Encrypted Data Tranmission in Compliance with HIPPA
Requirements
Batch files submitted for batch processing may be encrypted
using PGP encryption in compliance with the government's HIPPA
requirements. PGP encrypted file can only be read by
an authorized party whose PGP public key was used to encrypt
the file.
Dynamic Search Clearing™ (DSC)

The Dynamic Search Clearing™ (DSC) prevents the same
sanction records that were found for a criteria record and
subsequently cleared in a previous batch from appearing
again in future batches. Batch utilizing DSC™ returns
fewer matches thus reducing the time taken to review the
results. When there is a new sanction record published
that could potentially match the criteria record, it will be
shown in future batches until it is again cleared and
archived to history. This feature is available to batch
searches only.
Date-of-Birth (DOB) Matching™

DOB Matching allows sanction records to be further matched
based on the individuals' date of birth, in addition to
matching on the name. If both the criteria and
sanction records contain dates of birth, EPSS™ will attempt
to match on these two dates and return only the records that
match, and mask (or show, if elected by user) those that do
not. This feature is available to both single and batch
searches.
User-Selectable Search Databases

Users may choose any (or all) of the available sanction
databases to be included in the single and batch searches.
Though the combined database in EPSS™ provides a vast and
comprehensive list of data from many agency sources, user
can elect to narrow the search down to a specific agency or
state.
GSA Exclusion Code Matching

Users may choose to search the sanction database based
on GSA Exclusion Codes. Once the similar names are
found (based on name criteria), they will be further matched
against the list of user-selected GSA exclusion codes. This feature is available to batch
searches only.
Acronyms Search Capability

Both versions of EPSS™ allows searching by acronyms.
We constantly update the search engine acronym database to
include numerous standardized acronyms (such as FBI, CIA,
FDA, OIG) as well as less-common acronyms such as
corporation names (e.g.: IBM for International Business
Machines, MS for Microsoft, etc.) This feature is
available to both single and batch searches.
Complete Audit Trails for Record Keeping and Archival Purposes

All searches performed are documented and kept in customer's
file for record keeping and archival purposes. In
addition, reports for current and past batches can be
retrieved at anytime. For the EPSS™ client/server
version, all reports and search record are kept within the
EPSS™ database at the user's site. For the EPSS™
Online Search Engine, all reports and search records are
kept on our secured servers and are available to any
authorized parties to view, download, and print.
Exportable Reports

Single search history and batch search reports can be easily
exported to Microsoft® Word, Microsoft® Excel, or Adobe®
Acrobat PDF format.
Monthly Master Database Update

Customers using the EPSS™ client/server version will
receive monthly database updates on CD-ROM. Users of
the EPSS™ Online Search Engine version will not be required
to update the database
as our online databases are automatically updated monthly.
Stand-Alone or Networked Configuration

Our
stand-alone version of the EPSS™ software allows
installation on a stand-alone or networked computer.
In addition, all crucial databases can be stored on network
server or shared drives which provides highly centralized
storage, security, and nightly backup.
Minimal Total Cost of Ownership (TOC)
The web-based EPSS™ Online Search Engine requires no
hardware acquisition or maintenance. All is needed is an
Internet browser connected to the Internet through an
Internet Service Provider (ISP).
